From Shreveport Therapist Kim McClelland, LCSW
February 1, 2008
When I think of February, I think about Valentine's Day, which makes me think about the relationships in my life; especially with my spouse. To have a successful marriage, it takes committment of time, energy and perseverance.
Some suggestions for a satisfying relationship are:
1) Support each other's dreams.
2) Treat your spouse like you want to be treated.
3) Never part without a kiss and a hug.
4) Greet one another with a kiss and a hug.
5) Put aside a time each day to actively communicate with each other.
6) Make time for a weekly date night.
A happy marriage is one where the parties do not have to be together, but want to be together. Call me for other tips and let me be your's and your mate's Guiding Light to Change.

With the New Year comes for some a time to think about the New Year and what it will bring. I am a big believer in goals. If you do not set goals you stay stagnant. The way I set goals is to look at every part of my life ie: Work, Family, Relationships, Finical and Personal.. After setting the big goal I look at how I will accomplish the goal.
Example: To lose 20 lbs. I will exercise three times a week, drink more water; eat less fat and more protein.
I do not reach all of my goals every year and at times the goals changes but I reach some of them every year.
Let me help you accomplish your goals. Call me and let me be your Guiding Light to Change
