Do you have a cancellation policy?

Your appointment time is reserved for you. We ask that you give 48-hours’ notice if you are not going to make your appointment so that we can fill the time with another client. If you cannot give 48 hours’ notice, you will be charged $98 payable before your next session.

Leaving a voice mail message does not cancel an appointment. You must text your therapist.

We can conduct telephone sessions if you are available but not able to come into the office. The payment is the same as an in-office session, and you may pay by credit card or check at your next office visit.

Do you accept Insurance?

We participate in several insurance panels. In order to file, we must provide them with a mental health diagnosis, which becomes part of your permanent record. For this reason, many clients elect to pay privately.

What does a typical session look like?

We listen, we teach, and we get people to think outside the box by asking thought-provoking questions. We will make observations but never tell anyone what to do. We might give suggestions and ‘food for thought.’

Do you give assignments?

If we feel homework is appropriate, we will offer an assignment. It is up to you if you want to do work outside of the office. We will ask you what your goals are and if you are willing to do work between sessions.

Can I take my shoes off?

Yes, and we might as well. I love to get comfortable; it makes it easier to listen and focus.

Can I eat in the office or bring in a drink?

Yes, we want you to be comfortable.

Can I wear my PJs?

Yes, if you are finding it so hard to get up, get going, and get dressed that it is too overwhelming, come on and let us start the healing.
